SPEER is part of the DOE’s Building Training and Assessment Center (BTAC) grant. This will provide funding coverage for BOC participants in the south central region to expand workforce training and energy efficient practices in the built environment. I anticipate this to fill up quickly since funding for the training is covered, which is typically the biggest hurdle. We are asking for a $150 deposit that will be reimbursed upon completion of the training course.
The summer course and will begin May 13th and run through mid-August. This course will be taught live, in a virtual format through zoom with our qualified instructors. I’ve attached a syllabus with dates and the registration link as well as a marketing image if you would like to use for distribution.
Is this course part of the grant for New England states or just Central region? Can I take this course if I have the BOC Level 1 already?
Hello Brian! Excellent questions, while this course is available to those outside the central region it is a Level I course and if you’ve already completed it once you don’t need to take it again. Let me know if you have any further questions!
